You've got to be trolling now. He's been bang average for club and country for years now. He scored goals for the best team in the league who created a chance a minute. All sorts of **** has scored buckets for them over the years. He has done nothing to warrant a comparison with Barnes. The whole Rooney being world class thing should have blown over in about 2006.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Steven Gerrard can do things with a ball Rooney can only dream of. Ignore the Manc hype machine, Stevie might be past prime but he's got much more talent, ability, whatever you want to call it than Rooney has ever had. Sterling, Sturridge on current form aswell.Originally posted by Venton View PostWho is in the England team?

For England, are you serious? Barnes, apart from one or two games, was **** for England. Any why was that? Because we have a style and set up and pisses over proper talent in favour of gut-busting blood and thunder.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostYou've got to be trolling now. I've said for years that the problem with English football is the style of football demanded by the fans. Up and down like a fiddler's elbow, no proper style or talent. And then we're amazed when we lose in the internationals. Who are our world class talents now?Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

Noting you've got nothing to come up with there. You're mimicikng the typical England fan, not understanding anything about the game and booing the best talent we have. Remember when everyone was booing Barnes at Wembley whilst playing for us? And he was a lot ****ter for England than Rooney has been.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View Post

I'm not entirely sure what you are saying here, we were terrible under Capello. I understand you don't like Rooney but who would you put there? The system is set up for the most talented to fail.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostHe was at his worst under fabia capello in 2010 who definitely didn't play like that.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

Rooney looked up and saw Sturridge coming in and put it right there. It was deliberate, not a shot of hope.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostIt was a very good cross. Sterling did at least two similar, and Johnson did one, but nobody pushed to get on the end of them.
I know I'm coming across as a Rooney apologist but I genuinely think he's the best talent we have and I've seen us **** all over our talented players with our **** style of play for 30 years and it ****s me off big time.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

Capello has the highest win percentage of any England manager, ever.Originally posted by Venton View PostI'm not entirely sure what you are saying here, we were terrible under Capello. I'm not going to defend Roy's tactics, but when a player walks off as the worst attacking player on the pitch then it's not the system that makes him ****, it's the player.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years
