Thanjk you.

I agree in part, but why persist with a clearly **** Rooney, and why prefer the 'lots of stamina but little else' Wellbeck over the far more creative Lallana? It's not like Italy were going to play like Stoke.
In those conditions you can't run up and down the pitch in the same way as you do in the premiership. When you break you need to do it en masse with the midfield and defence moving up. When we went up the pitch we generally had 3 against 6.
I've joked about Rooney but the Italians doubled up on him whenever he had the ball and that has to tell you something. When it comes to talent he is the best we have and that says a lot.
You smoking again Dom? Unless you find a group of grownups arguing about 22 men kicking a bag of wind around a field inherently amusing, which I can't imagine is the case.
Hmm. Let me reassess the situation...
Nope. I mean Yep. I mean..
Edit : and no I'm not smoking. I have run out. Grr.
"Rooney gives everything he has". You sure about that Alan? Sterling was still tracking back in stoppage time. Rooney wasnt even bothering after 10 minutes.
Or maybe Shearer was being subversive and intimating that Rooney has **** all to give? (I can dream that Shearer might one day say something remotely controversial. Or even interesting).
Thought Hendo was quietly boss, didnt get that substitution at all and England did nothing after that.

and by the way if our plan to win the world cup is to remove Rooney then we're in even worse shape than I thought. And I thought we were in terrible shape.
'Not the best start for England.' How do these illiterate cliche-spouting half wits get a job? And Danny Murphy should know better - Sturridge got tired because he's young? Surely being young gives him a fitness advantage? I'm 41 with three young kids so know what being properly ****ing tired feels like.
