Deep down.........deep down.......no-one can possibly say they like him.
Not even gonna get into a debate about ability/records etc, I'm talking as a figure that we observe from our limited exposure to him.
He embodies everything you hate about the modern footballer/celebrity....................actually, you know what, I'd say his teammates cannot ****ing stand him on a personal level either, and they'd have to interact with the bollocks on a daily basis.

I'd like to think that the Portuguese players that are forced into passing to him at every opportunity, make little snide remarks to him just within earshot when he wastes the opportunity....'You're ****...mumble, mumble etc etc etc'

Him and someone like Suarez are poles apart - pundits rave about how hard Ronaldo trains....sure, but it's for himself, and that work rate doesn't transfer to a football pitch. He does nothing unless it's for himself. Suarez is an individual but also hell bent on the team ethic who works as hard as any player I've ever seen...which is why I would prefer Suarez 100 times out of 100.

Same in my experience. Evertonians and United fans hate Barca/Messi, because Barca dicked United in two CL finals and also the Ronaldo/United factor.
