I think I've just said something mental Alex.

Seriously. I don't rate Ronaldo as high as some do (I used to rate the original Ronaldo though). Maybe that's crazy I don't know. He's a good player, but not as good as his goalscoring record suggests.

      Now, that's not trolling.

But can't honestly hate a guy who donates money to save a 10 month old baby suffering from a brain disorder & another kid with cancer of the spine.

Apparently involved in charities aswell... sure he earns a ridiculous amounts on money but sure so do alot celebrities who wouldn't do **** all like that.

Look at Craig Bellamy. Sure, he's not of the same calibre and is not as famous, but nobody really knew about the charity work he does, especially in Africa. Ronaldo (or his PR team) announced his charity work as he was going (or just received) the World Player of the Year Award.

Call me cynical, but I think he swims in a vault of money with video footage of himself beamed on to the ceiling.
Doesn't surprise me that this would be brought up, and I think Mudds more or less covered my feelings on most charitable acts by famous individuals.
The thing to keep in mind with a large number of these exposed 'acts of kindness' its that they're rarely altruistic, and as was said, there are a huge number of unreported charitable acts that go unreported, or rather, referenced to long after the event.
While its fine to say 'you know what, fair play to xxxxxx, he didn't have donate yyyyyyy', I always think about possible motivations for these individuals, and given we are talking about this particular cunt, I wouldn't be letting it cloud my judgment of him. CR7 has a huge PR team at work for him, and an enormous marketing franchise to support, so any positive aspect is immediately seized upon........or perhaps even instigated by advisors ? For all we know, he was advised to dedicate such and such to publicly exposed endeavors, which while ultimately fine for such recipients, do carry a positive effect on his image, which is hard to ignore. Positivity = Growth.
Ultimately, we can only judge his acts as we see them on the pitch as, ability aside, he's a desperate individual so consumed by his own ego that it's impossible to warm to him to, even the smallest degree, in my case. As a private person, we cannot judge him either way, so there's little point in commenting on that. He could be the nicest bloke in the world once indoors and away from his lackeys, but he may also be the self-involved, preening ego-maniac he spends so much of his energy dedicated to cultivating on a weekly basis for the rest of the world to see.

          Epic.....Epic ******.

Think current Ronaldo's stats suggests he's scored a lot from pelanties and free kicks, or simply blasting from outside the area, with nothing really genius behind it. That's how I see it.

Yeah, but I've lost count of the amount of times I've said, "the chap is a genius, what a goal" with Messi. Not with Ronaldo.

I remember laughing out loud at him in the CL final when Bale scored (and for one of the other goals) - all the team run off to celebrate except Ronaldo who cut a lonely and isolated figure as he trudged back for the restart. What a complete and utter cunt. Then of course dives to win a penalty so he can get "his goal" and goes absolutely bat**** mental when he scores his meaningless penalty.

Yesterday he had the most shots of any player in one match in the WC so far - 7. Most of them were ridiculous, of course. You have to laugh when they get a free kick....other players getting in situ to have a pop and then Ronaldo, even though he's already had a boatload of ****e attempts, strolls up and everyone scatters without a word being said.

Portugal players even eschew better opportunities for themselves/others if Ronaldo is in sight and they give him the ball at all costs. It's incredible.
This pretty much sums it all up for me.

For the amount of times he's been given the ball to try and score, he's done **** all the other day. He just doesn't possess the genial ability that Messi (and other great players before him) have/had. Case in point, the CL final. He scored a pen, then went on a tour of the pitch to show how great he was.

He's just the greatest bellend to have ever graced a football pitch.
