Is Phil Thompson often right about these things?

Would be our most high profile signing since Suarez.

What's Newstalk then? Is it a radio show?

Hmmmmmm. Excellent if true but I'd take that with a big pinch of salt.

Radio show in Ireland. Dunno about Thompson being right much, but it is sounding good. Generally when ex players say stuff like that there is *some* substance.

Imagine the deal was already in place. £55million plus Sanchez. Bye Luis.

Would be made up if it was true. To be honest, the flexibility of a Sanchez, Suarez and Sturridge front three would be incredible - the stuff good wanks are made of!!!

With Sterling also providing runs from deep - as well as Henderson and Coutinho. Considering we also have a (hopefully) uber-determined Gerrard to go one better next season - then next year could be epic. If we add the 2 defenders that we are hopefully looking for, and Emre Can turns out to be as decent as expected - then we could be an unbeliveable force.... and if it all goes tits up in a game, then chuck on Rickay and lump it in the box!!!!

No need for that over-priced Lallana. Give Teixeria - and maybe even Conor Coady - a go in the cup competitions and maintain a 4-3-3 system - our current midfielders (Gerrard, Henderson, Allen, Can, Lucas, Coutinho) should be able to cope with the amount of games.

The best thing about Sanchez is he is incredibly hard working and pretty good defensively for an attacking player.

If you read the article the person that told him it's a done deal is a journalist, not someone from inside the club.

I don't think so! Someone said he called the Jose Enrique signing first, but I think that's about all.

Amazing really as you think he'd still be very close to the club.

Get Sanchez, sort out defence and we'll be flying!
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Yeah and David Villa was all set to join a few years back too.
