Has he really asked them to buy Luke Shaw? They are making signings and he'll obviously have a say but I'm not sure he's the only one calling the shots. They wanted Herrera last year and were linked with Shaw well before he got the job. The less time he has to prepare with players he's not fully familiar with the better, it all helps.
