Absolutely. Him being good for Southampton is pretty meaningless. There are so many variables - he may well have been **** here. By the same token he might've been good. Point is no one has a ****ing clue.

Bertrand would have been better this season. Would he have made the difference to us finishing top 4 or not? Very unlikely as he is less creative than Moreno and we lack goals.

Going forwards I think Moreno has a higher room for improvement, so I think we made the right call.

And fwiw, I said Bertrand would be a good signing.

I'm a little surprised he made the top XI but not surprised he has been more than decent in the premiership, you know, where he's played football all his life. To a reasonable if unsexy standard.

With us losing Suarez and our squad needing a massive overhaul, I could not believe and still to this day can't believe we spunked £16m(?) on an effing left back when someone like Bertrand was around on the cheap.
