Personally i think the standard has been pretty poor as a whole.

I guess it's just a perception of things as time goes by, but while there are plenty of very good keepers in the game today, not many make you sit up and take notice. Buffon would be a good shout over the last few years as being top dog.

Lighter balls, harder shots etc etc may well be a contributing factor.
