Looking at Souness in The Sunday Times today, he had Pirlo in his team of the tournament and no Masher. Now I know Pirlo is a great player but he had one good game, he was hardly seen in his last 2 games.

Total sham giving it to Messi. He scored some great goals but that is it - totally peripheral, unfit and uninterested for the most part. Mascherano should've won it for me. Him or Muller.

Phil Jones should of won it easily - his performance against Costa Rica was sensational. Had Roy played him from the start of the tournament England would of won the tournament.

Messi was a nowhere near right. Much better players for the argies in the tournament. How Mascherano didn't get into the official team is beyond me. Garay was excellent aswell. Then they put Rojo in the official and he has looked defensively shocking.
