Roy Keane is back on ITV's CL coverage.
That rug really tied the room together.

I'd love him and Souness to be on the same panel - they'd be right grumpy sods

Just to add my opinion. He'e been mentioned on here but I just want to re-emphasise that Ruud Gullit is the biggest ****** around. His pro-Chelsea/anti-Liverpool agenda is so blatantly obvious it's embarrassing.

Couldn't agree more, like I said when I started this thread:

Worst pundit: Ruud Gullit - he looks like someone has brought their brother in to fill an empty seat. His insight is clueless and has me screaming at the tele every time, "sexy football" ffs.

Gary Neville linking up with Durham starting sometime in Feb.

I assume Durham as it's the TS Drive slot. Better if it was as his replacement!

Paul Scholes is a right bitter miserable cunt isn't he? Listening to his analysis (if you can call it that) last night he did not give a single word of praise to us.

But he put Neville and Savage in their place a couple of times, that was relatively amusing. Owen is also getting a bit better - compare him with Phil Neville, and its almost like listening to someone nearly interesting.

I thought Owen was good last night (third time I have posted this ).

He offers genuine insight and can relate his game and experiences to what is happening on the pitch.

He mentioned about Sturridges mind set when he went on his first sprint. He mentions things with positioning. He is prepared to change his mind when he notices he has called something wrong in replay. He called the fact the ref was brandishing the cards (9 was ridiculous).

I thought he was really good. He obviously gets all manner of **** from LFC supporters, so fair to call it when he contributes positively. Way better than anyone on the BBC or ITV, way better than Scholesy, Jamo and Macca (the most awkward looking three on the TV?).

Owen made some comment about no reserve football anymore, many would have accepted this as fact, whereas its bull****. It's now under 21 with over age allowed.

He then said the ref was right on Gerrard's tackle which gave spurs the free kick from which they scored, then on the third replay he said it was a good tackle. Make your ****ing mind up mikey.

I thought there was a lot of complete **** coming from his mouth.

BUT the tone of his voice, which when commentating is more important at times than what they are saying, has got a little better. Easier than listening to Alan Smith, Niall Quinn or Phil Neville.

I think he offers more genuine opinion than most, yeah maybe he's not on the money every time but I found his thoughts interesting which is more than you can say for most.

I think what people like varies so much that its hard to win. I like Lawrenson, I love his dry sense of humour and his distain for players down 'injured'. If you like Owen, good for you mate.

Jeez this needs it's own thread.
