I really don't think it is going to be too much of an issue. The rankings are worked out on 5 seasons worth of points but include the active season.

The 18 and 15 on the left left of the chart will be counted when calculating the seeds for 15/16. We'll lose the 18 for calculating 16/17 (an effective loss of 6.786 points on Italy). We won't lose the 15 until seeds for 17/18 are being calculated and I think Italy would have to outperform England in each of those seasons for us to be under threat for 18/19 and that's assuming Germany go above us as well
