Ake is good but he isn't excellent and not a patch on someone like Rudiger (who is top level)

Still, don't think Ake is the way to go unless they've got someone else lined up (De Ligt maybe?)

I wonder, in all of this, if they'd be open to a cheeky bid for Pulisic? Klopp was super keen on him a few years ago
    Would Ake be that though?

I know he is 27, but the only club he was a full time regular at was Bournemouth and his last season as a regular started was the 2019/20 season.

He only had 24 appearances in the league for City (including when he was a sub) over the past two seasons.

Think he is a good player but also think he excels with a dominant CB beside him so that he can be the ball player at the back.

I think they're a little desperate at the moment, lost both Rudiger and Christiensen out of contract which leaves them with Sarr, Chalobah and a really aging Thiago Silva.

I can see the Chelsea fans getting restless fairly quickly if they're not spending like that did under Abramovich

Didn't they sell him originally?? What is it with that club and buying back players they've discarded

Part of their 'mopping-up mediocre teams' best English players' strategy... like Grealish last season. Carabao starting 11 is going to be mightily impressive

I'll give it a bash, imo a flop is a signing that gets ample mins, in a system and under a manager he is suited to but things just don't work out. A terrible signing, is a signing that absolutely does not suit the system (Rom up top on his own ) and one in which the manager has no faith in the player in that system. Lukaku played similar mins to Naby which is about 50% ish, after those comments which I thought were tame, he was done at Chelsea.

The Athletic has reported that Raheem Sterling has been enquiring about what it's like to live in West London, amid speculation Chelsea are interest in him. Not sure if it's a bit of a wind up considering he come from West London
