Southampton have turned down a £20 million bid from Manchester United for France midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.

United made the offer last week and have not so far returned with a bigger bid but their opening gambit fell considerably short of Southampton valuation of at least £25 million.

I don't but I'll agree he is (or at least was) a cut above MLS. I guess it is a sign that America is now at least as attractive as battling out in a mid-table team in a top league or winning a weak European league every year now.

was reading an article the other day about one of the teams and it`s really taken off there and they are getting something like 48,000 at home games

The price for Otamendi remains fifty million euros, as stipulated in his buy-clause in his contract. And, Spanish daily AS are now intimating that Real Madrid, rather than Manchester United, are in pole position to sign the 27-year-old centre-half.

While noting that Man United and Man City are both interested in the defender, AS say that Real have made Otamendi their “main target”.

Delph to City apparently nearly done I know they need more home grown players and i suppose there is little choice out there but what a **** rule where the richest club in the world has to but these sort of players just to fit in with quotas.

Nice pay day for Delph though.

There was talk he new contract last season had a clause for a relatively modest fee.

I think he'll be useful for City.
