Ah, I thought his new contract removed the clause.

Manchester United will try to tempt Everton to sell them right-back Seamus Coleman, 26, by offering 27-year-old centre-back Jonny Evans as part of any deal. (Daily Star)

I'll be surprised if he even gets a few cup starts. Not say he's a bad player, but I just think end up on the scrap heap with Sinclair and Rodwell.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Oh I say his vision there was lovely

It's certainly a possibility but I thought last season City needed another dynamic midfielder when Toure wasn't there or was playing badly. I don't think he'll be a regular but to my mind he does fill a genuine gap in their squad.

Does he offer much more than Fernando or Fernandinho though? I agree with what you are saying, but if comes down to a choice between the three, I think the higher profile players get the nod more often than not, whether they deserve to or not.

I think he offers something different more than an upgrade. That said I thought Fernando looked to struggle with the PL last season, if he doesn't improve then I think Delph just looks a better option. I don't know that there is any evidence for Pellegrini picking on reputation; Sinclair was an odd purchase and Rodwell was rarely fit for more than 30 minutes.
