    Saido Berahino looks stuck

Saido Berahino is in danger of being stuck at West Brom.

Mirror Sport understands that talks are still ongoing between Tottenham, West Brom and Berahino’s representatives but there has been no agreement or any sign of a breakthrough.

West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace has turned down two bids from Tottenham for £15m and £20m and Spurs have told their Premier League rivals they are prepared to pay around £22m with add-ons.

But West Brom have said no and it now looks as if Peace is determined not to sell even though it is understood manager Tony Pulis is more open to doing a deal.

Berahino was keen to leave and handed in a transfer request but that was rejected - but now it looks as if he will be forced to stay.

Unless Tottenham dramatically up their price then there will be no movement and sources close to the deal say it is now looking unlikely.

That is causing a knock-on effect as West Brom are unlikely to sign QPR midfielder Matt Phillips.

          BBC''s Pat Murphy
"West Brom have rejected two more bids today from Tottenham for Saido Berahino, making it four rebuffs in all.

"I understand they offered around £5m, with the rest loaded in instalments and incentive payments that West Brom simply wouldn't entertain.

There would've been no advantage for West Brom in agreeing to sell such a prized asset so close to the deadline, with so little cash up front."

Emmanuel Adebayor is now expected to STAY at Tottenham beyond today's transfer deadline.

The Togolese striker was keen to clinch a move to West Ham after the move was resurrected last night.

But with the Hammers no longer permitted to take Premier League players on loan after using up their allowance with Carl Jenkinson and Victor Moses, the Spurs striker has been forced into talks with his current employers regarding the termination of his contract.

However, it is understood Adebayor and Spurs are way off finding any middle ground, with the striker adamant the club pay his £100,000-per-week deal up in full.

Talks over a settlement figure are unlikely to be concluded today, meaning Adebayor is stuck at Spurs.
Adebayor can still join West Ham on a free transfer after today's 6pm deadline provided he can agree a deal with Spurs for his release.

What a disaster of a signing he was for them

I think Spurs and Lfc can relate to bad transfers over the last season or two and huge amounts of money spent and wasted.

                          £4m?

I don't think Reading will believe they got away with it

What a moaning ****. Perhaps his new agent can explain to him what a contract is. Hope West Brom refuse to pay him a ****ing penny while he sulks and refuses to play.

Victor Moses has signed a new four-year contract with Premier League champions Chelsea before completing a season-long loan move to West Ham.
