Monkey sponge on Twitter said we had scouts at the Lyon game last night. He seems to know his onions somewhat.

Doesn't say anything about us looking at Lacazette although I would guess that scouting has been done a few times.

Scouts from West Ham, Manchester United and Liverpool attended Marseille’s 1-1 draw with Lyon on Sunday night to watch Georges-Kévin N’Koudou according to Ed Aarons.

The 20 year old, Versaille native moved to Marseille last summer from Nantes in a deal worth £1 million. He's presently contracted to the Stade Velodrome club until June 2020. This season he has managed to score 9 goals for the Ligue 1 club. N’Koudou could be seen as a less expensive option to Schalke forward, Leroy Sane by the Anfield club. Sane has been attracting the interest of Manhester City and Barcelona recently.

Another player that Liverpool scouts were casting an eye over last night was versatile Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso. Tolisso, who can play various roles such as either full-back, defensive midfielder or as a box to box, is known for his ability keep to possession and control a game with a good work rate. The 21 year old has played over 70 times for Lyon since breaking in the first team. Tolisso has 13 caps for France Under 21s.

West Ham are also interested in Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi. The Belgian born striker signed a new contract at Marseille this month but has been drawing the attention of several Premier League clubs. These include West Ham, Spurs, Newcastle and Crystal Palace. A move to a Champions League club would most likely be his preference. Given their current form, that would put Spurs at the head of that list of Premier League clubs.

Michy Batshuayi has represented Belgium twice and has two goals scored for The Red Devils. The deal recently signed by Batshuayi is scheduled to keep him at Marseille until June 2020. A big money offer seems likely though.

West Ham are also interested in Wilfried Bony of Manchester City. The Irons are determined to sign a striker they can build a team around for the future. They east London club leave Upton Park at the end of this season. A move to The Olympic Stadium beckons this summer. New manager, Slaven Bilic, has all but achieved his remit of guaranteeing Premier League football to showcase the new stadium.

Townsend is awful. He is still dining out on that hot streak for England which masked a multitude of issues with him.

Townsend is right up there with Obertan.
