You'd think he would be a more cost effective option for Barca than Coutinho.

Different players, I know, but if you're looking to replace Neymar, then Sanchez to Barca is more logical to me.
    Oh I don't know.

Maybe he doesn't want to go back to Barca though?

          They bought him from Barca.

Makes sense in every other way. But £50m+ for a 28 year old with one year left on his contract

I can only see City paying that.

And yet he scores goals. I'd say that's cheap and better value than some of the relatively unproven players we're getting in, or the £150m for Coutinho.

You'd get at least 3 good years out of him if he stays clear of injuries and circa 60+ goals if he's in the right team.

True enough, he is a very good player, and money seems pretty much inconsequential.

Think that Drinkwater and Llorente would be very useful for them. No idea where they would look to play Ox (I rate him but it seems an issue that he doesn't fit many places).

I think people forget how much Conte got/is getting out of Alonso and Moses, players who he saw something in others missed.

Any controversial opinions on Ross Barkley?

I think he primarily wanted to use him as a WB, which is why Ox rejected them.
