Seems an odd transfer to me - Bayern signed Lucas H and Pavard so Hummels and Boateng under pressure with Sule also there. Dortmund typically buy young up and coming players although they bucked the trend signing Witsel last summer. Hummels’ legs have gone, seems they are paying too much

`That wouldn't make sense...Hummels moved to Bayern in 2016 for €35m on a 5 year contract so unless Bayern were told to pay up in full, I suspect that they pay that fee over the term of Hummels contract which they have paid €21 already...Makes sense for them to cancel the reminder of the contract & let Hummels join Dortmund on a free.

That's pretty decent considering he won't cost them anything in terms of a transfer fee. That works out about £150k/w roughly.
