First chance was a 'rasping' shot from 30 yards by Phil, saved.

Lovely from Phil there, sublime touch and awareness.

Coutinho has been great but I've not noticed Firmino doing much.

Firmino was substituted, I thought he had some good awareness about him but it wasn't happening. To be honest, the whole Brazil team are a shadow of their former selves.

Paraguay go through to the semis against Argentina which means Coutinho and Firmino can get on holiday and get back to Liverpool sooner.

Countinho was trying to make things happen but there is a chronic lack of movement up front. I thought Firmino wasn't too bad but they are very average and their defence are simply banging it up front. More Aston Villa than Liverpool.

They are desperately missing a number 9 upfront. Not trying to convince Costa to play for them is a big loss, I think. Someone with his movement up front will help them a lot. Also apart from Neymar they don't have a genuine matchwinner. Coutinho and Firmino aren't quite there yet.

Dunga is a very negative coach though. He is all about winning 1-0 and not the flair football you normally get from Brazil.

Looking back over the tournament so far I have been particularly disapointed with Colombia. They have James Rodrigues, Jackson Martinez, Carlos Bacca, Falcao, and that funny looking guy from Chelsea. Pretty talented bunch but they managed just 1 goal in 4 games. Thats pretty appalling. I can only assume its down to fatigue, they had the world cup last summer and then a full european season which must have left them pretty tired and thus its badly affected this tournament

I love Coutinho, he's our player. But let's be honest, when he is the best Brazilian player on the field by a country mile you've got to say this is a very weak Brazil team by their normal standards.

Won't they play in the Copa de Oro?

I'll be amazed if he's not fired after the Copa de Oro. Not enough time to fire him now.

When will Brazil learn? They'll get nowhere with Dunga in charge.

At one point Willian passed the ball to the tall Brazilian defender expecting to get it back, but the big fella hoofed it up field to a Paraguay player, Willian reacted by throwing his arms up and looking quite forlorn.
