LA Galaxy vs America

Gerrard looked like a school boy the first day at a new school in the first 20 minutes.

And that's not meant as a criticism, this was literally his first first day at a new school, for all his greatness this was a new experience for him.

He was partially at fault for the America goal, he was a bit timid throughout the half he played. But again this is his first preseason game and the rest of his teammates are in the middle of the season.

America also played well below par, I think they are missing 2 or 3 first team players and this was also a first preseason friendly for them.

Having said that Gerrard quickly grew into the game and in the first 45 minutes he was able to show 3 key attributes that he's famous for.

Raking cross field pass, snap shot from outside the box and surging run into the penalty box that could have resulting in a goal.

I think he will be, and should be, pleased with his debut. Now that he's got that under his belt I think he's going to continue to improve and settle in there.
