Aberdeen should be our club! Danny Ward playing a blinder there.

The Dandy Dons (Aberdeen) with their best start since 1991

Got to give credit to Hearts as well though, what a start they've got off to.

Danny Ward has been sensational since he joined Aberdeen, hope he goes there permanently!

            Hearts

I jinxed them by posting the 100% record.

So Aberdeen have matched the 5 out of 5 - let's see if its this thread's fault

What a start to the season though, I can't remember so many teams flying out of the blocks like this - maybe the last time was 10 years ago when Hearts pushed Celtic and Rangers for 15 games or so. The inevitable will happen and Celtic will pull away, but what a start!

                Yeah, it's really refreshing.

I have really enjoyed following Heats for the last 18 months (from the comfort of my armchair) seeing the club revitalise and them introduce a lot of really talented young players. Get in a guy that nobody thought would be a good manager, but is absolutely brilliant.

It's an entirely different (and perhaps more enjoyable) experience than following LFC and all the big money signing bull****.

The Dons are looking set too - I see you've taken another LFC loanee?

You are right though, Celtic have too much depth for anyone to live with them, but if John Collins keeps riling the rest of the league with his bull****, they could get into a few feisty encounters.

Absolutely - there isn't the enormous disconnect between superstar multi millionaire and fan either, the whole thing feels a lot more symbiotic north of the border. Rangers getting bumped revitalised the game I reckon, though Celtic did their Old Firm best to bully Dundee United out of it.

Yeah. It's been good to not have that 'old firm' ****e dominate the entire season.

Looks like New Co. FC will be back next season tho

                    So best enjoy this.

What do you guys make of the quality? I've lived in Edinburgh for 10 years now, and tried a few times to get into Scottish football, but I just can't, some of the stuff has been just bad. The Old Firm stuff doesn't help either, but even the last couple of years the lack of Rangers seems to have dragged Celtic's level down as well.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The quality is poor and has been for years - Celtic's dip was inevitable really given the lack of money in the league and the lack of Rangers to push them on (competition wise and financially).

That said, the difference in style between Aberdeen since McInnes and before McInnes is immeasurable - they're organised at the back, pass the ball and have a cutting edge up front. Its a long, long way from where they were under Granpaw Broon.

Same with Hearts, they endeavour to play football the right way.

Your never going to get that overall top end quality given the relative position of the teams, but it's great to see some young kids, who look destined for a career at the top come on and develop.

Plus, all the Champions League , Spanish footy can be boring as hell. Sometimes it's good to see a bit of blood and thunder

Big test today for Aberdeen! Celtic at home - they never so much as took apoint off them last season, so if they're going to challenge this season, they need to break some ****ing green and white ducks. I'd even take a draw today.

Hmmm, yeah. It looks like they need to stabilise a bit.

First back to back defeats in over a season, and only the third defeat in 40 odd games, but they need to turn it round. Realistically winning the first 5 probably set unrealistic expectations, and 2 defeats in 7 is a more realistic reflection. Top 6 has to be the ambition, and a good run in a cup.

The mighty Dons up next at Tynecastle - could be a cracker.
