    Really?

I'm hugely against the idea. Friday was the last solace from televised football of an evening. You could go to a pub, without it being impacted by some sort of football game on the screens, distracting you from conversations with friends (it's impossible not to keep staring at a screen when one is on at the pub), with all the seats taken by fans of said teams, like it does every other night of the week.
    Oh I don't know.

I kind of know what you mean, but you could go to pubs that don't show football?

      I'm completely meh about it.

Strangely I find myself agreeing with you.

        There's a total over-saturation of football.

Well yes if I am in town. But I'd like to go specifically to my local on occasion. Or my other local. My two favourite closest pubs will be showing meaningless football games on Friday nights.

I'm just glad I'm not a slave to the football schedules any more.

I dont think Ive been to a pub to watch football for about 3 years now. Its usually a horrible experience.

We need our own forum Dom, I barely care anymore either

Every year the interest gets less and less.

The last time I went to a pub was last fall in Manchester, we were thrown out for being too drunk at halftime and I went with some guys from Bolton to some questionable place. Found my friends at said questionable place. Liverpool - West Ham I think, I remember Borini and some questionable things, but everything is a blur. So I'll be streaming from now on.
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

You both should talk to a doctor, then to Pele.

I think from a match goer perspective Friday football is way better than Monday, but other way round for everyone else i'd say.

Bundesliga have 1 Friday, 2 Sunday and the rest Saturday, they are usually right

Are we going to see a Friday match every week now, or is this a one off?
                      Are we winning?

Just a one off this season due to an EDL march in Birmingham.

Friday matches are going to be regularly shown from next season I think

Don't like the Friday football buzz......sure wasn't the Arsenal 0-2 turnover in '89 a Friday IIRC ? Bad memories etc
Exceptional circumstances explained that one of course.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'll never forget that alright.........was giving it loads in school all that week.

Suffice to say, there was much slagging.
