From what I read they were talking in the region of £75m for Auba......so I figured Goetze (£20m), Dembele (£20m) + the rest and a bit more for Rom.

The Lukaku price seems nuts but who knows and I have read that Dortmund have agreed to sign Dembele for peanuts (release clause?). It's just internet talk and none of us really know.

Cant see Lukaku going for less than £50m though, they paid what, £28m or something daft? He's certainly worth more than Big Donkey Ben anyway

You know I probably only watch Liverpool games and some Spanish football now. I used to watch everything I could but two small kids ended that

I work in IT so I get time in work on the net & Twitter so I tend to read a lot and also look at highlights/youtube of up and coming players. That keeps me current with the world of football.

Re Lukaku - I wonder what did they actually pay for him, the fee was £28m but maybe in a number of installments. I think you could see Stones or Barkley go to Chelsea and them write off some of the fee for Lukaku. I think it will be around the £50m mark myself but I think we have potentially a better player in Origi

Many times the player that Benteke is and 3 or 4 years younger than Benteke.

Speaking of donkeys we bought. If you add up all the goals scored for Liverpool by three of our more high profile donkeys (Carroll, Benteke, and Balotelli) it still comes to less than what Lukaku has scored this season alone.


From a combined total of 98 games those "strikers" have a massive 23 goals between them. Lukaku has 25 for the bitters from this season alone.


Even in terms of overall career stats Lukaka beats any one of them for goals scored despite being only 22 years of age to Balotelli's 25, Benteke's 26, and Carroll's 27.


Epic waste of money on those three flops.


Lukaku in a team that was not **** could end up with silly goal stats and yet many of the bitters still don't rate him as a striker.

Yeah it's crazy that lot of people still don't rate Lukaku, often got pelters on here. He's still so young and his goals tally is fantastic since playing in the premier league. Excellent striker he is and a banker for a big money move. Everton should get 50m easily in todays market.

They do seem to be doing something right in Belgium when it comes to developing a certain type of striker.

Benteke looks like the ****e Beta version and then along came Lukaku.

And now they have lads like Origi and Batshuayi up and coming. Those two almost look like they are a mix of the physicality of Benteke/Lukaku but with the skills of a more agile striker a la Sturridge/Lacazette/ Aubameyang mixed in.

We should offer the Bitters Balotelli and Benteke in exchange for Lukaku.
