The worst thing about getting Benteke (and Ballotelli) is none of the FSG board members raised eyebrows with the 'committee'. Commolli and Dalglish were sacked for the same thing yet we were happy to repeat those mistakes.

It's not really. They have a better chance winning the CL that us next season if you ask me, so nothing to do with lack of ambition. Surely you meant he chose the safer option?

Yeah, he's moving back to a place he's had the most success in his career. Whether it works for him will be interesting as leaving to go to Bayern and then heading back it might be tough for him to get the fans back on side.
