No Lacazette in the French squad then.

Weird they'd take Gignac and not Lacazette

No recall for Pete Jenkins in the French side either. He had a great season at Metz, don't know what the guy has to do to get a look in

How do France line up nowadays? Is it:

                    Lloris
                    Sagna Mangala Kosc Digne
                    Matuidi Pogba
                    Coman Payet Martial
                    Griezman

Doesn't look as strong as I originally thought. Too many 'individuals'.

Apparently Gignac is tearing it up in Mexico. Golden boot, player of the season. Football Weekly Podcast was talking about the league being a similar standard to Liege 1 anyway.

I think that Varane and Sakho were their more regular CB pairing and Rami was who came in for Varane after the injury. Evra I am pretty sure started every game in 2016 for them at LB with Sagna usually on the other side.

In their most recent friendly game they used three in midfield and it was Kante, Pogba, and Matuidi.

Given his form for the national team, especially of late, Giroud will most likely
                        start up front.

Would not be surprised to see one of these teams and set ups tonight.

                        ---------------Lloris
                        Evra---- Rami---- Kosc ----Sagna
                        ---Kante--- Pogba--- Matuidi
                        -----Coman--------- Payet
                        --------------Giroud

                        or

                        ---------------Lloris
                        Evra---- Rami---- Kosc ----Sagna
                        --------------Kante----------------
                        ------ Pogba------ Matuidi
                        ------------- Payet
                        ------Giroud-------Griezman

If they want a bit more pace and strength at the back then Kosc could be swapped out for Umtiti

The Xhaka bros up against each other soon. Will be interesting to see what they do.

Was hoping Embolo would start so we could get a better look at him too.

Sneaky tenner on Shaqiri to score first i reckon.
