Have to say, I'm so proud right now, can't wait for the next match on Saturday. I saw one statistic that Kolbeinn, Birkir B. and Birkir S. were in the top three for the fastest players in the tournament, Origi and Nani were 4th and 5th.

Which is insane, because Kolbeinn and Birkir B. are not really quick or pacey, they just put everything into this and exceeded even the limitations of their body.

You can say a lot about Birkir B, but he's not ligthning fast. He has always had the footballing brain and the workethic, but I used to think that the lack of pace was the one thing stopping him from having a great career. You could see him making clever runs into the box, but arriving just to late.
We around here view him as a local lad, and it's great to see him succeed at the highest level.
