For your bigger returns, it's luck. One guide I've seen is:
Bet 1 - GUARANTEED PROFIT OF £25
Place a £50 pre-game bet on Over 0.5 1st Half Goals at 1/2
Place a £50 in-play bet on Under 0.5 1st Half Goals at 6/4
- If there is a goal in the first half of the game then your pre-game bet will win returning £75 but your in-play bet will then be refunded giving you a total return of £125 from your £100 investment
- If there is no goal in the first half of the game then your in-play bet will win returning £125 from your £100 investment
BET 2 - NO RISK, BETTER RETURNS
Place a £50 bet pre-game on Over 0.5 Goals at 1/10
Place a £50 bet in-play on DRAW Full Time Result at 13/5
- If the game was to end in a score draw then both bets would win returning £55 from your pre-game bet and £180 from your in-play bet, a total return of £235 from your £100 investment
- If the game was to end 0-0 then your pre-game bet would lose but your in-play bet would win, returning a total of £180 from your £100 investment
- If there was any other scoreline then your pre-game bet would win returning £55 and your in-play bet would be refunded giving you a total of £105 back from your £100 investment
BET 3 - BIGGER RISK, BIGGER RETURNS
Place a £50 pre-game bet on Belgium -4 Corners at 13/10
Place a £50 in-play bet on Belgium to win on penalties at 11/1
- If Belgium get 5 corners more than Wales and go onto win on penalties, both bets will win returning £115 from your pre-game bet and £600 from your in-play bet. a total return of £715 from your £100 investment
- If Belgium get 5 corners more than Wales but don't win on penalties or any other result happens, your pre-game bet will win returning £115 but your in-play bet will lose and will be refunded, giving you a total return of £165 from your £100 investment
- If Belgium fail to get 5 corners more than Wales but go onto win on penalties, your pre-game bet will lose but your in-play bet will win, giving you a total return of £600 from your £100 investment
- If Belgium fail to get 5 more corners than Wales and don't win on penalties or any other result happens then both bets will lose but your in-play bet will be refunded, giving you a total return of £50 from your £100 investment
I usually go over £50 on over 0.5 goals in the game with Bet365 (returns around £55), then put a bet on 'no goalscorer' at another bookies (£7.50 returning £56) so it's covered. Then in-play I usually go with my gut. It depends what you want from the bet? A couple of hundred quid and you could go in the goals market, if you want four digits go for an obscure first goalscorer (e.g. Ashley Williams).
I don't know what BTTS and no draw was at the start of the match but William Hill had an in-shop enhanced price between 1 and 2 pm for all 4 semi-finalists to score and either team to win in both matches at 16/1 Seems quite large. Missed it
It's a bit of a myth that Portugal don't score in 90 minutes. They scored 3 against Hungary (3-3) and I saw them score against Poland with my very own eyes.
I also think it's a bit short-sighted calling them **** and all sorts. They've been pretty steady and done what they've needed to to advance. If that was Liverpool, I would be chuffed.
They are fortunate to be in the final, they haven't played particularly well in this tournament, but that argument has been had in another thread.
Hungary is the only match in this tournament when they have scored in both halves, so it was no surprise that it didn’t happen again last night and I certainly wouldn’t be betting on them to do it in the final.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

They scored two goals last night. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that a goal could've come in each half. Wales were 2nd top scorers in the tournament too.
Anyway, I think you misunderstood the inference of my initial tip. I put a fiver on it myself (for £100 return) and I really wouldn't think anyone would put more than £10. The odds surely reflected this. Was just meant to be a cheeky little suggestion and I hope it came across that way and no-one has acquired any major debt today
