No disrespect to Iceland but we're playing ****ing Iceland. If sterling can't do a job in this game then he may as well retire from all forms of the game. Roy is a moron, but even Roy isn't so big a moron that he can't beat Iceland with the likes of Rooney and Sturridge. I think.

Hodgson has justified his decision by saying it's all about width. In the first two games, Sterling offered zero width and didn't stretch the games. Hopefully it's something they've worked on in training.
Lallana's industry and neatness will be missed, but I take your point: we should have enough quality regardless to beat Iceland.
