It’s a totally different game to conference football.Originally posted by Norbs View PostI've switched it on by accident twice. First time there was an air shot in the box by an England player, second time was about 5 mins ago and an England player managed to pass the ball 5yds to an IS player when she was seemingly in control of it and under little pressure. It may be better than it used to be but it's of far lesser quality than Conference level football.
I’d say more technical in places and way less robust. Conference football will be faster paced but not necessarily any easier on the eye. But in watching the woman’s WC it it’s the mistakes and fatigue that add to the enjoyment. I’ve watched bits of a few games and that’s the first game I’ve watched from start to finish.
It seems like this tournament has been a watershed moment for the sport so it will be interesting to see how it develops.Modifying post.

Smaller pitches?
I was about 9 stone when I played for a while... I always reasoned players twice the size have to run half as far... lol
I found it so much easier on a smaller pitch, less tiring when you dont have to put your full momentum into every pass over ten yards. It obviously focuses more on skill and agility. Less on long balls and physical challanges.
Dont see why womens football cant be its own thing... There is obviously an audience for it, they should adapt it to suit women. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

I'd be surprised if they allowed women to play football
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I wonder how long it'll take for FIFA to get it's grubby mitts on it and ruin what seems to be a, for want of a better word, innocent game. The club game in Europe certainly seems to be easy to dominate with the right resources, nothing new there. The IS seen to have built their legacy over decades, fair play to themOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostIt seems like this tournament has been a watershed moment for the sport so it will be interesting to see how it develops.

The latest England squad for the Nations league games, Southgate standing by Harry Maguire.
Gomez and TAA are our lads named in it
Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson, Jordan Pickford, Nick Pope
Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Eric Dier, Joe Gomez, Michael Keane, Harry Maguire, Tyrone Mings, Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker
Midfielders: Phil Foden, Mason Mount, Kalvin Phillips, Declan Rice, James Ward-Prowse, Harry Winks
Forwards: Tammy Abraham, Mason Greenwood, Danny Ings, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Raheem Sterling
Is it just me or does that look inexperienced bordering on ****?The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
