I think he is covered in a way by saying he would need to run anything like a new role past the FA.

His comments on 3rd party ownership should be more troubling. No person or organisation should ever 'own' a person.

He will be a worry for the FA now. This all happens within 4 weeks of him getting the job. I wonder if the sting was set up before his appointment or after?

It was a 10 month "investigation" so obviously before.

He's not actually done that much wrong, has he? Morally wrong, yeah...but I'm not sure it's a sackable offence. Hope I'm wrong.

He'll know what he's said, they sometimes save the best till last with these releases, so we'll see if he resigns/gets sacked or not, that will tell us if there's worse stuff likely to folllow. fingerscrossed.

I think the only thing is the fact that he said he could assist in getting round third party ownership issues with the FA. Though he is probably covered in saying that he would have to run any deal past the Powers that be.

Embarrassing for the big man none theless. I'm sure he was choking on his bacon and maple syrup pancakes this morning when he saw the headlines.

According to The Telegraph it was just after his appointment and the follow up meeting was last week.

He's discussing taking money in return for advice on how to exploit loopholes in his employers regulations. That's corruption, isn't it?

No different to an accountant exploiting tax loopholes. Its unethical for an England Manager to do it though as its such a public job.

Obviously the comments were made in the last few weeks, but it was *set up* before since it's been ongoing for 10 months.

They should go for something different. Eddie Howe or summat.
