The thing with Allardyce is that he may see this as an opportunity to try and play something more attacking and expressive, rather than sticking with what he does best, and that could go horribly wrong, given his delusions of thinking he can manage Real Madrid.
I think when he had better players he did play a more attacking style at Bolton. It wasn't Guardiola's Barcelona or Keegan's Newcastle in terms of aesthetics but it was decent to watch.
In terms of winning rather than enjoying I think he could be our Fernando Santos. If we stop thinking we can be amazing maybe we can actually maximize our potential.
