Shearer, Southgate, Pulis, Megson, Allardyce, Mowbray, Brown, Redknapp, Bruce and ROy ****ing Hodgson

That was the state of English Managers in the premier League the last time an English Manager won a competition.

I am not surprised we started loooking abroad for managers

Venables was the last great English manager and he was corrupt as **** so worst appointment of all.

Its funny, you hear stories about Allardyces early days in management and he was quite innovative and forward thinking. Then he heads to the club with the other English managers and they convince him to be ****house.

I think the problem sits there. The English manager old boys club. They're all ****house and they all think they're gods.

If it taints the national team to potentially win something under a non English manager, then winning the domestic league using a non English manager and non English players should be similarly tainted.
I don't care about international football either, in fact I wish it was abolished, but it's still funny that you can appoint a non-national manager. I suppose Ireland did it for years with tenuous family links to get English players in but I've not heard about Tuchel having a maternal grandmother from Lincolnshire or whatever.

It's all a bit silly, may as well just go the whole hog and have transfers in the international game now.

This makes no sense, what would be the basis of such complaints? Even if you go back to the old Sheffield Rules, there have never been requirements for the players or staff to come from, or live in. the vicinity of the club. However, such restrictions (based on nationality) are the fundamental basis of international football and only only reason for it to exist.

For players, yes. Not the wider staff.

"developing" football nations have been doing it for decades and no one batted an eyelid.
            Oh I don't know.

And you can understand why it is necessary, with many nations not having a pool of professional coaches to draw from.

Of course. But you can't have different rules based on "developing" status.

                  You can’t have that, no.

I'm Irish and I did not realise he played that many times either
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

To be fair, I didn't know he'd played any games for Ireland
