**** that ****, football is too expensive for normal people now.

I looked at the cost of Sky Sports on Virgin and its £38 a month. What? What the ****? Why wants to pay £38 to watch sport? It'll keep going this way until people stop paying and the arse falls out of it (It will in the end, everything does)

Champions League is behind an obnoxious paywall on a different service too. Pass.

Yep cancelled mine a while back too. Looked at the value I get from Netflix and Amazon Prime and realised I was being ****ed over for the amount of hours I watch it.

Ill probably get sport back in the summer when the Test Matches return, but even then probably itll just be a week pass or something.

Televised football is too expensive for anyone with half a brain, let alone normal people.

I'm more than happy to stream games when I can be bothered to watch them.
          Oh I don't know.

I binned off the sports some time back - I have an android box + Kodi and I signed up for sportsmania @ £1 a month. So far it has been excellent.

And I thought the sponsors were going to throw their weight around because of the paltry viewing figures on BT channels? I know very few people who actually watch the CL anymore unless it's their teams matches.

I guess Uefa saw billions and realised the few million they might lose out on wouldn't be so bad after all.

Exactly the same for me, Alex. Such a liberating decision ditching Sky

I really only bother watching Liverpool games these days. As a BT Broadband customer I pay £5 a month to be able to watch their sports channels on-line only, which for now I'm okay with.

If I really want to watch a Sky match (legally ) then I'll buy a pass on Now.tv or something. Same for non-sport stuff too like Sky Atlantic (will need my Game of Thrones fix ).

Haven't missed it at all so far.

In Australia we've been paying to get access to it for the past 20 or whatever years. I tried the streaming and kodi method for a bit but got too pissed off trying to find **** that worked and didnt stutter or go to crap. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didnt. Sadly we like our sports a little too much here.

Kodi is great for streaming tv and movies but live tv it isn't great even with a good internet connection.

I saw the lads recommend the SportsMania paid add-on and I tested it for a while. Now I have been using it for a few months and it is excellent - no issues streaming games.

I signed up with Optus and their Premier League coverage has been excellent.

It helps that I don't give a **** about any other sport.
