I think you're being over simplistic with the implementation of it tbh you also have to do it across all leagues governed by UEFA or FIFA more likely.

Why. Goal line technology isn't. Similar approach in other sports as well, it's usually reserved, you know for elite competition that can afford it.

It's easy to casually throw out how easy it will be to do but the logistics of coming up with a sufficient guidelines of what should and should not be included aren't that easy let alone the logistics of implementation and then of course the costs for doing so.

Buzzo is right it works pretty well with Rugby but it is also a more stop start type of game.

I'll make the point again there is a place for more VT in the game it's getting it right and ensuring its done properly

The refs can't have full control over which decisions they get reviewed as we'll be in exactly the same boat now over claims of bias.

At the very least there needs to be the facility to challenge a decision (as long as the ball's out of play) like in tennis.

But that is the same in Rugby, there has to be someone in control of it. And it is in the Refs interests to refer any dubious decisions as they will get slaughtered in the press for not doing so and for getting decisions wrong.

Rugby is a far more complicated sport to officiate than football, with even multiple views and slow mo's sometimes not clearing up whether a Try has been scored, so the other way for Football to approach it would be the challenge route as we have in Cricket and Tennis.

We would need a fourth or even fifth official/TMO. Perhaps get rid of the pointless behind goal refs, who bring nothing to the party.
