      That's sad.

He always came across as a genuinely nice chap.

I liked how he used to say 'Good evening everybody' When he was on Commentary.

Sad as he seemed like a nice bloke, as Buzzo said.
        *Except Michael, who died.

          I liked that too.

His radio commentary was top notch, much better and more insightful than you get on tv.

He was also incredibly unbiased and seemed to just love the game.

Unfairly ripped by the S*n when he was England boss.

              Poor bugger.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

                  RIP

A genuine football man. Great Villa side with McGrath, Houghton, Staunton, Platt, Tony Daly (), Dailian Atkinson etc nearly won the league.

Wasn't be Watford manager with Barnes & Blissett also?

Him being manager of England for Euro 92 (Denmark won right) was the first time I was old enough to pay attention to the tabloid media in England. When they drew or lost to Sweden they super imposed his head onto a turnip IIRC. The gutter press has continued in that vein of form ever since.

Same breed of dickheads who had the knives out back then will be falling over themselves to eulogize the man.

I never thought much of his football management skills and he was an object of ridicule during my teenage years. We were probably all complicit in taking the piss, particularly after the famous documentary.

But he grew on me after he left the England job and he came across as a genuinely decent human.

                              RIP Graham Taylor.
                              Oh I don't know.
