So although I obviously prefer Rangers to Celtic I was delighted they beat Man U last night because my hatred of those arrogant, obsessed Manc *******s far outweighs any feelings I have against the Bhoys...

Just out of interest do Garston still play in Orange and Green respectively?

Sorry Sam I've no idea whether the same schools are even there! I was in the school team in the old 3rd and 4th Years (Years 5 & 6 nowadays) back in the early 70s!

I too prefer Rangers but I enjoyed watching last night. Lasty absolutely detests the Mancs and at one point he said "Oh I wish I was in a pub full of Mancs right now!" Last time that happened he hit one of em and when I reminded him of this he said "Yeah I know! "

I'll just about go along with that. Although, i'm pleased for Scottish football in general.

Yeah, Roy, like a lot of lads at school I joined the OL simply because I wanted to play a musical instrument! I didn't understand the meaning of it all TBH but I enjoyed the marches and the annual trip to Southport on July 12th! I remember on one march through the Dingle (a predominately Irish Catholic area for those that don't know Liverpool) some old granny turned her back on us then lifted her dress to show us poor lads an enormous pair of green bloomers!
