Although there concern is more corruption than the potentially destructive nature of gambling when it comes to players, they are adults afterall. They should really get a grip on it though, it's the national sport and one that appeals to children and wall to wall gambling is disgusting.

Why should the FA get a grip on this? The administer the game in the country - not gambling in the country. I hope joey barton takes the FA to court and gets a pay out. These old pricks in the FA thinking that they can make rules outside of the pitch is a ****ing joke. Cunts.
To be honest, football players shouldn't even be banned from placing bets. As long as they don't throw a game, then there shouldn't be a problem.
