    World Cup 2026

    Not trying to get in there early, but apparently the 2026 hosts have been announced - Canada, the US and Mexico. Absolutely ridiculous.

    That's a distance north to south of 4000km and east to west of 4350km.
    They might as well host the 2030 version in 'The World'.

    60 games in the US with 10 in Mexico and 10 in Canada.

    Apparently this is a victory for football say FIFA. Certainly not a victory for anyone who wants to watch a few games live and follows a team based in Mexico or Canada.

    Well done FIFA.

                    It's also something to do with FIFA wanting it to change continents, and it's been a long time since it's been in NA. Granted there are basically only three candidates there, and one of them could hardly afford it with current prices of hosting a WC, so it's not a huge surprise it's going there.

                    Not a huge fan of the shared model though, but it will become the norm if the price of hosting a WC keeps going up.

                              Its expanding to 48 teams next time I think. So dont think itll be a problem.
