I had the misfortune of driving over 2hours today and the amount of adulation Spurs got from 5live was sickening, all the way past their goal.Originally posted by dom9 View PostIf anyone, it's us and Klopp who are the darlings.
Travelled into rural Ireland so we lost signal in the second half but I am tempted to do a first and listen to a rerun of a second half from another team to listen to them choke on their words.

And your point is what exactly?Originally posted by vlahka View PostUntil we beat City, the media frothed over how they were possibly the best team in europe, how Pep was an absolute genius, etcetc. It was sickening. No way did they jizz over us like that.
City were incredible last season. Klopp has always and always been a media darling.
And it's not remotely important so why get hung up on it?
So what?Last edited by dom9; 30-12-18, 01:55 AM.Oh I don't know.

Given their net spend, Spurs have done incredibly well but they don't have the depth to be serious challengers.Originally posted by labourRed View PostI had the misfortune of driving over 2hours today and the amount of adulation Spurs got from 5live was sickening, all the way past their goal.

I dont have a point. I made a statement that the media overly loved City and everything about city and never said a word wrong over them, pretty much called them super human and Pep the best manager in the history of the universe. Ignoring their clear breaking of transfer rules and the overly fortunate calls they kept getting last season which even my UTD and Tottenham friends remarked on also. The media love Klopp yes, but when stumble or something goes wrong, they happily bring it up. You wont find much wrong said about City. The commentary for their games was also gag inducing. Every little thing they did was claimed as the second coming of jesus. Right now its glorious because they've all had to shut up about City for once.Originally posted by dom9 View PostAnd your point is what exactly?

Oh my. Maybe you watch too much TV / social media etc and listen to too much football punditry? Are we winning?

The absolute opposite. I watch our games and highlights of the others. The only social media I bother in is this forum. But its not just me. Its 4 others I know who say the exact same thing and we all disagree on everything football related. Just listen to the commentary when City score a goal. At the moment its ok, but earlier on before we beat them it was unbelievable. How you lot didnt even notice is beyond me.

They have but that wasn't the point they were trying to make. It was all about media darling Harry Kane and what an amazing man he was, the first thing he did was thank his team mates etc and what a wonderful summer he gave us, pride back in being an England fan, a truly deserving MBE etc...Originally posted by dom9 View PostGiven their net spend, Spurs have done incredibly well but they don't have the depth to be serious challengers.
**** off, he was ricocheting goals in the summer and got beat by any half decent team. Plus he's the dullest cunt in football.

It's also not particularly surprising, great times receive great praise.
The only praise they should be receiving is being able to break transfer rules and not get punished. All they did was mimic the chelsea/mourinho path of success. Spend a ****load, buy the best players. Pep is a hack and had Messi to thank for whatever reputation he has. Put him and Klopp on the same transfer amount and Klopp would annihilate him.
