    Top 4 Race

So nice to not be involved in one of these for once

Who do you want to finish 3rd and 4th?

There are positives for every team missing out, it becomes difficult to choose a favourite.

Arsenal - They clearly only invest part of what the generate, which means if they miss out on the CL again they could begin to fade into mediocrity, removing a direct rival in the medium term. Arsenal Fan TV is a guilty pleasure of mine and lets face it, the worse Arsenal are doing the funnier their content!

Chelsea - Obvious rivalry, their club is the antithesis of ours. When they have their arse in gear they can win any trophy on any given year. Consecutive years out of the CL with an ageing squad and a transfer ban could harm them and remove them from the picture for a few years.

United - Solskjaer would have performed a miracle to get them into the top 4 given they were what, 10-11 points behind when he was put in charge? After all our years of suffering it would be great to see them back into the Europa League, but their financial power means it probably won't affect them too much.

Spurs - Despite performing better than us over the past 10 years, they don't feel like a rival. But their fans seem to have grown a massive ego recently so it'd be nice to see them taken down a peg or two. The new stadium has cost 40% more than they had anticipated so losing CL revenue would be a kick in the bollocks.

I actually feel myself preferring if Spurs and United to finish top 4, simply because I think both Arsenal and Chelsea would suffer more.

Arsenal and Spurs. I want united out of the champions league two years running so those deals drop in value. Chelsea will **** off in to mediocrity soon enough and no cl football will hurt recruitment with a hapless, or new, manager
      Football without Origi is nothing

Plus, Arsenal could potentially win Europa league so would rather that threat is eliminated and they take a league spot

United have been and still are in the Champions League this year.

Ideally, Newcastle and Leicester Realistically, Spurs and Arsenal. Hate Utd and Chelsea.
            Another MASSIVE game

Yeah the longer Arsenal are in front of United the less chance of United throwing the match vs City & giving them an advantage.

I want Man Utd and Chelsea to be the ones who miss out, Spurs and Arsenal feel less of a threat (maybe that's because the haven't won anything for a while). I get the feeling that Man Utd in particular could be a year or two away from a challenging for the title again, if they can have a couple of good transfer windows, and CL football will help them even more, anything that holds them back is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. Chelsea, I hope they are going to lose Hazard, Abramovic pulls out and they drop like a stone (unlikely but it could happen).
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yep totally agree. Chelsea dropping back to mid table would be awesome. United always have the pulling power that big wages help with so if Ole continues to improve them they could do a Lazarus. Spurs have the uncanny ability to develop players that cost buttons so I’m hoping they’ve got lean pickings for a while. Arsenal have 2 great strikers capable of hurting most teams but they seem incapable of improving their defence so I’m not too worried about them improving any time soon.

And if they finish top 4 they are next year. But if not they are half way to financial disaster

Spurs v Arsenal .....Aubameyang, Özil or Torreira all on the Subs bench.
