You look at that Chelsea squad and have to be wondering why a manager that gets so much praise does not have them playing much better and being far more consistent.

You look at guys like Rudiger, Havertz, Werner and Kovacic, and it is not too much of a stretch to imagine them producing an awful lot more under a Klopp or a Pep.

Then you look at some of their younger players like Tomori, Abraham, Emerson, James and Pulisic. Not hard to imagine them either getting more game time or performing a lot better under a Klopp or Pep. I know Pulisic has played well for them at times and that he had had some injuries but there are times he looks far less effective than he shold be in that Chelsea team.

Lampard comes across like a guy who loves the praise he gets as some kind of wonderful manager and he has been back to the hilt financially, but the moment he hits a bump and starts dropping points he goes into Hodgson mode and tries to play down any expectations and trots out the I only have kids line.

I see after yesterday's game he was back knocking any talk of his squad being a title contending one and how he has lots of young players and his usual attempts to downplay expectations and at the same time down play any expectations of him having to perfrom as a manager. Klopp seems to be living rent free in Lampard's little brain as he seems to be able to draw very public reactions from Lampard on a regular basis.
