Free hit it myself, FF has been a nightmare with cancelled games, rescheduled fixtures and players isolating with covid.

The Sheffield United player had a hold of his shirt but i don't think that had any bearing on how his hand gravitated towards the ball as it did

Just to make myself clear I'm not suggesting that the Sheffield United player used cunning to deliberately pull him towards the ball to orchestrate the handball but he definitely pulls him and that in itself is a foul, and the Newcastle player is having to fight against that so is not in control of his own movement

I think you might be looking at the wrong party of the incident. There's an initial elbow/sleeve handball possibly, which I think you are referring to but then after he sweeps the ball away with his hand. Can't be doing that even if you are being fouled.

I saw both.

If you're being fouled before you handle it then it should be a free kick. Its really straightforward.
