A most acceptable Saturday of football.

Neither are looking at a sacking at this point. It was just teams I despise getting results, nothing positive.

Yaa I don’t get the narrative of there being a silver lining when they win, cos the ****e manager will stay longer. I remember people wanting mourinho to get the odd win for united so he wouldn’t be sacked - little did we realize that after he left, things would get even funnier there!

The positive thing I did see from the United game, is that they are ****e, and as they have a tricky run of fixtures coming up, it should be fun to watch them slip 9 or so points off top 4 in October!!

I was annoyed after the game, but quickly realized the only game we should really care about this weekend(other than our own) is city tomorrow! If Leicester can take points off them, it will be great news! Realistically they are our only (potential) competitors this season again!

Saw a bit of both games, United and Chelsea, Brighton were much better, totally deserved to win, you could see in Ole after the game, he knew.

Chelsea have a difficult season ahead of them, Ancelotti has jumped ahead of them and Mourinho will probably too, I think they have a real fight on their hand for the CL. Frank is under all sorts of pressure, spending, his academy graduates then coming on to save him, can't sort out his defence, Kepa and too big squad, I can't see this ending well really. Will be a very interesting season ahead.

Chelsea will struggle accommodating all these players at once. It’s never the best policy to get yourself 5 or 6 first team players and have them gel quickly. They will get better over the season but I still feel they will struggle beating the likes of City and us. Plus they haven’t been able to sort their defence yet.
                    Are we winning?

It’s strange as they seem to have got on top of the offsides and getting the refs to use pitch side monitors. But some of the hand balls are laughable. Needs to be a common sense call rather than a sweeping if it hits the hand it’s a pen call.

Ref can decide how accidental it is and gets the final call by using monitor.
