It’s mad how Man City, Chelsea and Man United have been able to put out the same sides consistently this season and have a full bench of options while we have been cursed with injuries. Man United have had pretty much the same back four every game. Chelsea play with three central-backs. It just seems so bizarre now to have that luxury. A million miles away from our wretched luck.

To be fair when Lampard was there, they regularly had some of their best players, like Rudiger, not getting a sniff of game time. Who needs injuries when you can have Lampard doing the same thing.

It’s all come about full circle though. Rudiger looks excellent in a 3 just like David Luis and I believe someone like Lovren would too. They can be a bit reckless knowing there is cover. Didn’t Conte get sacked as the 532 lost its way (after a brilliant first season). This really feels like it might go the same path.

They’re just a complete nonsense club that has been propped up by the oligarch. It so rich that they had protests about money grabbing when they spent £300m in a pandemic window.

Anyway, think it’s very appropriate that this years CL, the worst in history as a spectacle, has a final two of the most soulless money clubs on the planet.

Rudiger has looked very good in a back four too, at Chelsea and at Roma. Always looked very comfortable in a back four for Germany too. That for the 29m he cost, he is very good value for money.

Do agree that in some ways it is appropriate the two teams in the final are who they are given the year it has been in the competition and given the year it has been globally.

You'd have imagined a fit Harry Maguire for the entire season would've seen them relegated from what's written on here

This is how far we've sunk, but I'd bite your hands off for a consistent 7/8 out of 10 back four right now. I think it's where we were early years of Klopp and also Brendan's great season.

That would be pretty much close to being a title winning back line if all were 7 or 8 out of 10 each week.

Me I would settle for a consisent 6.245632 out of 10 back line for the rest of this season

Our wage bill isn't higher than City's. Hasn't been in the past 10 years.

Damn, even if you add van Dijk in that's way below City.

Its because their accounting is utterly bent.
