I’m not at all minded to defend Kane, but the idea that he is anywhere near England’s biggest issue is wildly inaccurate. Being a striker at the head of a disjointed mess is a thankless task. If he’d blasted headers over the bar from 6 yards you could say he was costing the team, but there have been zero dangerous crosses to him in any of the games so far.
