If that's true, I don't get it.
I remember before the world cup in 2018, they were downplaying things, saying it was a time to get experience for players who would be mature by euro 2020 when england should be able to mount a serious challenge.
Here we are with the likes of Kane and Sterling in their prime. And there has been no improvement in their play from what I can see. They still struggle to break down average teams and are **** against top sides.
