Was a brilliant game. City should have scored at least 7 or 8 though. Pep went bat**** crazy on the sideline when they missed a chance at 2-0. He was right, the ball should have been squared for a tap-in.

When I looked at the fixtures for this week, I thought that it was a bit of a balls on us to be honest. We play Wednesday night - Sat early K/O - Tuesday night. Whereas they have Tuesday - Saturday late k/o - Wednesday. Both of us being away in the league on Saturday with Newcastle being a big potential banana skin.

However, if the next 3 fixtures go well for LFC, then:
          - We will put pressure on them on Saturday by going ahead of them in the league. Hopefully Pep will have to rest a few players on Saturday.
          - We will be waiting for them in the CL final when they go to play Madrid.

Dream scenario here is that by next Wednesday night, we are teed up to play Real Madrid in the final of the CL and are 1 (or 2) points clear in the Premier League.

I wonder at what point he decided to panenca, before he stepped up or whilst he was waiting?

Also Benzema has missed 3 of his last 4 pens including 2 in their last league game. Unbelievable.

Quite a set of stones to even walk up and grab the ball if you've missed that many pens recently.

              It was a huge moment.

West Ham 1 down which is good news for us.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

They can overtake United with their game in hand if the United Chelsea score stays the same

Wolves could over take Man Utd too if they win their 2 games in hand
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

They play City a few days before the EL final - if they are in it chances are they rotate heavily

Chances are they'll be deflated if they go out of EL, but it's their last home game and they might want to finish the season on a high. Will still be a much easier game for City than it might have been 6 weeks ago or so, but if WH make the final it would basically be a bye, especially considering their current injury problems.

Hitting the cross bar deserves a goal, apparently
