Yeah, Rangnick has made them press higher up the pitch and to be fair, they were good first half, but when the going got tough, they wilted. They need a change of personel, so it's going to be a gradual process for them. Players like Varane, Maguire, Lindelof, midfield and strikers are not good enough. They need upgrades and a better mentality.

Rangnick is not the problem, when he's going to go upstairs he'll be responsible for the direction in their style of football and structure, and judging to what he's done at Red Bull, I think he'll do well if he can wriggle around the politics at the club.

All good for us, until they sort that out it might take them 3 or 4 years.

There’s nothing wrong with Varane. Even Lindelof isn’t appalling, they need to get rid of Maguire who is the last CB anyone could want in a high defensive line, and Rangnick clearly hasn’t been given the authority to make such decisions. He’s had no hope of saving this season with the lack of backing the club has given him. Not sure how he could transition from that to a DoF role tbh, having been undermined already.
