TBF....on another day, Spurs should have been at least a couple up in the first half.....absolutely dominated them for the opening 30mins. Sky and its pundits could have been singing a different tune post-match.

Still a good win for Chelsea in the end, almost like a different team in the 2nd half.

Yep. So far Chelsea have beaten a massively under strength Arsenal and a Spurs team that looked so poor once they ran out of steam (albeit with plenty of mitigating circumstances).
They’re getting plenty of plaudits but I think I would stop watching football if we signed Lukaku and played with 3 CBs.

I think we are miles ahead in terms of sustainability but they are in a purple patch, no doubt.

City have a more talented squad and on paper are a better team, however under Tuchel Chelsea have something Man City do not have, and that is the ability to dig deep and get results when not playing well.

Man City will blow more teams away when on form, but Chelsea will grind out more results when having a bad day for my money.

Tuchel has a touch of Klopp about him in that he is able to turn talented individuals into great team players. He also comes across as the type you wake up to sitting at the side of your bed at 3 am whispering some nonsensical babblings as he puts a pillow over your face.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

There's no point mulling over who they've played, they could say the same about us -

We've beaten a Palace team with a new manager, a **** Burnley team, a Leeds team that have no solidity, and newly promoted Norwich. Hardly anything to get too excited about.

I never said we should be comparatively excited with our results. Just that theirs should not be blown out of proportion.
The point about sustainability refers to our system over the last 4/5 years (and not just half a season a la Chelsea ). I would never want us to play with 3CBs.

Barca are losing 1-0 at home to Granada at half time. Might be entertaining to watch the second.

Who do people fancy is this one?

Neither conceded many so I’m going Chelsea 0-0 Man City

I think Chelsea might beat them actually but naturally I’m hoping for a draw & injuries/ send offs for them both.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Score draw for me. And that probably just about suits us if we're still thinking about a title push.

Still cheering City. Beat them next week and that's both our challengers dropping 3 points inside a week.

Plus Chelsea have a great run of fixtures coming up, so don't want them going on a long unbeaten run.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Villa should be 2 up. Clear chances missed.
