    **** that though

This is what it’s all about. Heart ache and putting it all on the line, embrace it. Remember when we were eighth and watching these battles from afar? That was what ****ing sucked.

This is the sharp end. These moments are the ones we’ve waited for for so many years, decades. I’m going to try and enjoy it. I’m definitely not giving up hope until it is impossible, I believe City will slip up - why not?

The reason it means so much is because it’s so hard to attain. This is part of it and if winning was easy everyone would be doing it.

Fight to the end and see where we are and if it’s not enough then so be it.

DeBruyne is carrying them at the minute, so their season depends on him staying fit. If he does and drags them over the line fair ****s to him, he'll go down as one of the greats eventually. But I wouldn't want us relying on one player.

More importantly, since CL resumed, City have lost or drew after each of their games. This is nothing new for City either, despite being almost flawless since Pep's first season, when there is the rare chink in their armour, it normally appears when trying to get the balance right between CL and PL games.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

This is what football is all about, you want to be in contention to win trophies, the alternative is being like Everton not really contending for anything just merely existing. If you are fighting for trophies you rarely have the procession to winning the league that we had last time., you have to fight it out with other sides, and sometimes you will come out on top and sometimes you won't. Yes we could finish the season 2nd with 90+ points making us the only team to top 90 and not win the league twice, that would suck but I would rather have that and watch this side than be in the battle for the top 4 This is one of the best LFC sides ever whether they win the league title or not, I think we really need to appreciate it while we have it.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

That's a bit harsh on Everton to be fair. They're definitely in the mix to achieve relegation this season

I personally will take little solace in getting 90 points and coming up short again. It's not first so it's nothing to celebrate. To be considered great you need trophies and more importantly titles. Of course we can still do it, I just don't see it happening. I don't think city drop points or we win all our games. But I would absolutely love to be proved wrong. Shove all my previous misgivings right up my arse. Make me look stupid. I'm not precious.
If we do fail, a Champions league win would go some way to soften the blow.

Obviously we all want to win the league (plus other trophies as well) and finishing 2nd with a points total that would in most other seasons have seen us be Champions will be a kick in the teeth (again). Yes great teams are judged by trophies but this team is playing some great football and is there or there abouts against an unprecedentedly good side.

No one will be happy about missing out by a point, but why feel down about it now when we're still in contention?

Not a chance they drop points.

Based on what? Certainly not based on their form since January as they have not gone more than two games in a row in the league since Jan 1st without dropping points.

Their form the past three and a half months is one that is seeing them drop points to teams they are expected to win against.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

The most depressing this is getting excited when a team holds City to a 0-0 at half time, but then concedes three in the second half. Or if a team (that's not us) concedes in the first 5 minutes. Or concedes first.

You just know it's not worth watching the rest.

Should I just look at the result?

Absolutely no expectation of Watford doing anything other than ship 5 or 6 goals here.

Next Saturday is the first game where I think there is a chance City can drop points, Sat early eve KO at Elland Road. Those Sat Eve away fixtures can be tricky.
